Explore the Estate

Brokenheugh Estate includes 65 acres of garden and woodland leading down to the River South Tyne with 1/4 mile of salmon and trout fishing. Follow the winding path through ancient oak and beech woods carpeted in Spring and early Summer with a lacy counterpane of flowering wild garlic and enchanting bluebells.

The River

The opening of the viaduct reveals the magnificent River South Tyne, home to otters, mallard ducks, kingfisher and if you linger long enough a wild salmon or trout for your evening repast! (fishing by arrangement)
